YVONNE CARSON ORTEGO
Funeral services for Yvonne Ortego will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Lone Pine with the Bro. David Newton officiating. Burial will follow in the Griffin Hills Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mrs. Ortego, age 82 of Lone Pine, passed away on Tuesday, March 06, 2012 in Bunkie.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edmond Ortego, Jr.; a daughter, Pamela Ortego; her parents, James and Gordy West Carson; and a sister, Faye Johnson.
Survivors include her two son, Buddy Ortego and wife Genevieve of Lone Pine, and Duane Ortego of Atlanta, GA; her daughter, Judy Normand and husband Reiss of Bunkie; two brothers, James Braxton Carson and Ray Carson both of Pine Prairie; two sisters, Edwina Jameson of Pineville and Opel Hodge of Winnsboro; 12 grandchildren, Dara Taylor, Dawn Thacker, James Ortego, Rebecca Lyles, Melissa Lawson, Amy Garza, Stephen Normand, Deidre Miller, Carrie Dauzat, Aaron Ortego, Cameron Ortego, and Jerrod Normand; 23 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at First Baptist Church of Lone Pine.
