WINTIS P. JEANSONNE, JR.
Funeral mass for Wintis Jeansonne will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2010 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Rev. Jack Michalchuk officiating. Burial will follow in the Church of the Little Flower Cemetery in Evergreen. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mr. Jeansonne, age 80 of Bunkie, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Grace Home in Alexandria.
He is preceded in death by his wife; Joyce Ducote Jeansonne; parents, Wintis and Edimos Aymond Jeansonne; sisters, Alice Ducote and Earline Lambert; and a brother, Milburn Jeansonne.
Survivors include three sons; Chris Jeansonne of Bunkie, George Jeansonne of Evergreen, and Larry Jeansonne of Bunkie; four daughters, Jennifer Daigrepont of Bunkie, Connie Daigrepont of Opelousas, Catherine Blood of Lone Pine, and Lisa Richard of Big Cane; three sisters, Anna Belle Blanchard of Evergreen, Cynthia Gremillion of Moreauville, Burnell Rabalais of Plaucheville; one brother, Lawrence Jeansonne of Bunkie; 21 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Monday and 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie. A vigil for the deceased will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
