Obituary
Funeral services for Wendy Hawkins will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home with the Bros. Wayne Dunn and David Newton officiating. Burial will follow in the Beulah Baptist Cemetery in Cheneyville. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mrs. Hawkins, age 54 of Cheneyville, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015 at her residence.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Estelle Norris; and one brother, Johnny Paul Norris.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Hawkins of Cheneyville; three sons, Daniel Guree and his wife Sarah of Cheneyville, Wayne Hawkins and his wife Amy of Cheneyville and Ryan Hawkins of Cheneyville; her father, Grover Norris of Cheneyville; two brothers, Melvin Norris of Marksville and Vernon Norris of Norfolk, VA; two sisters, Sue Hurst of Shreveport and Helen Jane Toups of Splendora, TX; and her five grandchildren, Anthony, Daniel, Jr., Jacob, Jason and Brooklyn.
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday and 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
