Memorial services for William Mitchell will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Lamourie Baptist Church in Lecompte with the Rev. Jeremy Nunnally officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. Mitchell, age 61 of Forest Hill, passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021 at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leon Ray, Sr. and Sylvia Glaze Mitchell; sister, Leona Reeves and brother, Leon Ray Mitchell, Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Evelyn Tuttle Mitchell of Forest Hill; his children, William Randall Mitchell of Forest Hill, Joseph Espy Mitchell of Forest Hill, John Davis Mitchell and wife Kristen of Forest Hill, Roger Thomas Mitchell and wife Kendall of TX, Amy Mitchell Hawkins and husband Wayne of Forest Hill and Steven Wayne Mitchell and wife Chelsea of Forest Hill; two brothers, Charles Mitchell and wife Joyce of Forest Hill and Thomas Mitchell of McNary; his grandchildren, Alexis, Bella, John, Mindiley, Jason, Brooklyn and Chase; and his grand pup, Mocha Bean.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. at the Lamourie Baptist Church in Lecompte.
