Walter "Wayne" Reynolds, age 79, passed away on peacefully at Cabrini Hospital with his wife of 60 years at his side on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Willie Oby and Jessie Dixon Reynolds; his brother, Perry Oby Reynolds; his sister, Sally Bruno and her husband "Bootsie"; brother-in-law, Lawrence Mayeaux and nephew Mark Mayeaux.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda Bordelon Reynolds of Hessmer; two sons, Eric Reynolds of Hessmer and Randall Reynolds and wife Keatina of St. Landry; two grandsons, Jonathan Reynolds and Jaedan Reynolds; his sister, Lottie Mayeaux of Evergreen; sister-in-law, Laurette Reynolds of Hessmer; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Wayne was retired from the Bunkie Post office and City of Marksville. In the past he was an avid fisherman and belonged to the Avoyelles Bass Master Club and held many offices with the Hessmer Woodman of the World Fraternity. He also loved the hunting season and camping.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
