VICTORIA "TAVIE" RABALAIS
Funeral services for Tavie Rabalais will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 15, 2012 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home with the Bro. Robert Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Ms. Rabalais, age 85 of Bunkie, formerly of Belledeau, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Bayou Vista Nursing Home in Bunkie.
She is preceded in death by a husband; Ulyss Bordelon ; her parents, Antoine and Florence Lachney; a sister, Alene Lachney; and a brother, Harry Lachney.
Survivors include her five sons; Robert Dauzat and wife Yvonne of Hessmer, Gerald Dauzat and wife Rosa of Gonzales, Glenn Dauzat and wife Linda of Bunkie, Ulyss Bordelon of Mansura, and Cecil Bordelon and wife Pat of Mansura; her daughter, Freida St. Romain of Cottonport; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Sunday and 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
