A graveside service for Venson Bandy will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the Bayou DesGlaises Baptist Cemetery with Bro. Eugene Carlock officiating.  Burial will follow.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. Bandy, age 74 of Big Bend, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021 at his residence.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis, Sr. and Vivian Baudin Bandy; and brothers, Louis Bandy, Jr. and Avit Bandy.

Survivors include his children, Chris Bandy and wife Emma of Big Bend, Scott Bandy of Big Bend, James Armand of LaPlace, Devin Clark of Prairieville and Roxanne Bandy of Big Bend; brothers, Andris Bandy of Bordelonville and Ted Bandy of Denham Springs; sisters, Marie Marcotte of Big Bend and Brenda Lemoine of Hamburg; 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
