Funeral services for Velma Dufour will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie with the Rev. Bartholomew Ibe officiating. Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Dufour, age 85 of St. Landry, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Pine Prairie.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Riley Dufour, Sr.; a son, Riley Dufour, Jr.; her parents, Clamance and Lucille Castete McGee; and two brothers, Dudley McGee and George McGee.

Survivors include one brother, Clifton McGee and wife Betty of St. Landry; her sister, Georgianna McGee of Lake Charles; sister-in-law, Linda McGee of St. Landry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday and 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie. A rosary will be cited at 6:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
