A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 19, 2015 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Bunkie, with the Rev. Joseph Desimone officiating. Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. Fontenot, age 20 of Bayou Chicot, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2015.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sheila Ducote Bordelon; a brother, Travis Wayne Fontenot; his maternal grandfather, Wade Ducote, Jr; and a paternal grandmother, Susie Hill.

Survivors include his parents; Wayne and Anna Ducote Fontenot of Bayou Chicot; his twin brother, Brandon Paul Fontenot of Bayou Chicot; brother, Gary Matthew Dopson and his wife Eryn of Woodworth; his sisters, Heather Fontenot of Lafayette, Kayla Ducote of Cottonport, and Leslie Bordelon of Bunkie; his maternal grandmother, Cheryl Ducote of Bunkie; his paternal grandparents, Clifton and Gwen Fontenot of Woodworth; his four nephews, Kaden Lane Dopson, Kole Porter Dopson, Reid Parker Fontenot and Knox Owen Dopson; a niece, Kiyaha Bordelon; his longtime girlfriend, Taylor Kim Fontenot of Bayou Chicot; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.

Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. on Sunday until 10:45 a.m. on Monday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie. A wake service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Tyler will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. He was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud to call son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend.
