Funeral services for Travis Gauthier will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2023 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie with the Rev. Stephen Scott Chemino officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. Gauthier, age 59 of Bunkie, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in the presence of loved ones.

Travis graduated from Bunkie High School, where he was a star football player, and continued to love and follow BHS football, along with being an avid LSU fan.  He worked as a police officer for the Bunkie Police and held a deep passion for music as a singer/drummer throughout his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Donald and Florence Onishea Gauthier.

Survivors include his children; Joshua Gauthier of Prairieville, Brittny Gauthier of Prairieville, Ragan Gauthier and wife Megan of Gonzales and Kendall Gauthier of Baton Rouge; his sister, Kelly Scallan and husband Eric of Plaucheville; a grandson, Graham Gauthier; and the mother of his children, Katherine Gauthier of Baton Rouge.

Friends may visit on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. with a rosary being recited at 10:30 a.m.
