A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Thomas Veade will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2024 at the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church with the Rev. Martin Laird officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mater Dolorosa Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville.

Mr. Veade, age 73 of Plaucheville, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at the Reviere de Soliel Community Care Center in Plaucheville.

Thomas was faithful member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 2142.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Harris James and Nellie Mae Mayeux Veade.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Deborah Guillot Veade of Plaucheville; his son, Derek James Veade (Tricia Thibaut) of Baton Rouge; his brothers, Michael Veade (Cathy) of Plaucheville, Rodney Veade (Lynn) of Plaucheville and Eddie Veade (Debra) of Hamburg; and his much loved and cherished granddaughter, Hannah Catherine Veade.

Friends may visit on Monday from 10:00 a.m. to time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Plaucheville.
