THOMAS THEODORE McNABB, III
Funeral services for Tommy McNabb will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Bunkie with the Rev. LaMon Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery in Bunkie. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Thomas "Little Tommy" McNabb, age 32 of Bunkie, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 7, 2011 as a result of a car accident off of LA 1176 in Bunkie.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Faulk of Lake Charles; his paternal grandfather, Thomas T. McNabb, Sr. of Bunkie; and his brother, Beau Christian McNabb of Bunkie.
Survivors include his wife; Jessica and their two daughters, Grace Claire and Olivia all of Opelousas; his parents, Thomas T. McNabb, Jr. of Bunkie and Jan Faulk McNabb of Bunkie; one brother, Graham MacKenzie McNabb and his fiancée Brandi Gremillion, both of Plaucheville; three sisters, Candace McNabb Lemoine and her husband Will of Lafayette, Melody McNabb Romero and her husband Rafael Romero Moreno, of Managua, Nicaragua, and Elizabeth Claire McNabb of Bunkie; his paternal grandmother, Carmen Courtney McNabb of Bunkie; one nephew and one niece, Mylie and Matthew Lemoine.
Tommy was a loving father, and he adored his two beautiful daughters who were both gifted with his captivating blue eyes and infectious smile. He was a former United States Marine who served proudly with the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade 1/10th in Operation Iraqi Freedom during 2003. He was an avid outdoorsman and was most often found hunting for ducks, deer, squirrel, or wild hogs unless of course he was fishing for redfish, speckled trout, or fresh sac a lait with his brothers.
He will be best remembered by his friends and family for his friendly disposition and always lending a helping hand with a special smile whenever needed.
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday and 8:00 until 10:15 on Tuesday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
