Funeral services for Theresa Sauseda will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Romig officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lecompte Cemetery in Lecompte.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Sauseda, age 91 of Pollock, formerly of Bunkie, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Sauseda; daughter, Rita Madrigal; grandson, James Savage; her parents, Eutimis and Epiphania Hernandez Madrigal; and her siblings, Carlos Madrigal, Sr., Bart Madrigal, Jimmy Madrigal, Sr., Anterio Madrigal, Sr., Maggie Carmello and Valentina Romerez.

Survivors include her children; Antonio Sauseda of Bunkie, Benito Sauseda and wife Jennifer Collins of Pollock, Ann Savage and husband Donnell of St. Landry and Diana Huntsberry and husband Byron of Bentley; 14 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
