SHERRY DAWN ORTEGO TYRA

Funeral services for Sherry Ortego Tyra will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2010 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie with the Rev. Gary Patrick officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery in St. Landry. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mrs.Tyra, age 32 of St. Landry, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Survivors include her husband, Terry Tyra of St. Landry; her four daughters, Morgan Lynn Tyra, Macie Alexandra Tyra, Marley Nichols Tyra and Madison Hope Tyra all of St. Landry; her parents, Grant and Loretta McDaniel Ortego of St. Landry; her maternal grandmother, Jeanette McDaniel of Lafayette; her two brothers, Channon Grant Ortego of Eunice, and Bruce Lane Ortego of Baton Rouge; her two sisters, Carla Lynn Foreman of Bunkie and Emily Paige Aguillard of St. Landry.
A rosary will be recited by Fr. Broussard at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. on Monday until the time or service on Tuesday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
