Funeral services for Sherlyn Franks will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the Morrow Baptist Church with the Bro. Bob Braly officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Franks, age 53 of Morrow, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 at the Opelousas General Hospital.

She is preceded in death by; her father, John O. Turner, Sr.; her mother, Dorothy M. Verrett; and three brothers, Chris Turner, Bobby VanPelt, and Danny VanPelt.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Mayonce Franks of Morrow; her son, Mayonce E. Franks, Jr. of Morrow and her daughter, Victoria Fogleman and her husband Chris of Morrow; 5 brothers, Lones Guillot of Yazoo, MS, Terry Guillot of Patterson, John Turner, Jr. of Morrow, Gene Turner of Patterson and Dean Turner of Pensacola, FL; two sisters, Brenda Franks of Carencro and Monica Bridges of St. Martinville; her grandchildren, Marissa, Brianna and Rebecca Fogleman; and her best friend, Brenda Ducote of Morrow.

Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. on Monday until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Morrow Baptist Church in Morrow.

Pallbearers will include; Chris Fogleman, John Turner, Jr., Gene Turner, Dean Turner, Terry Guillot, Jr., Lones Guillot, Gordon Franks and Robert Ducote.
