SHELIA MAE CARTER
Funeral services for Shelia Mae Carter will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 21, 2012 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie with the Bro. David Newton officiating. Burial will follow in the Griffin Hills Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mrs. Carter, age 88, formerly of Bunkie, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at the Rio Sol Nursing Home in Mansura.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Elma Carter; a son, Larry Wayne Carter; her parents, Bert and Alice Howard Williams; and a brother, George Williams.
Survivors include one son, Garry Cater and his wife JoAnn of Plaucheville; one brother, Jack Williams of West Olverston, Tasmania; one sister, Jeanette Williams of Tasmania; 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday and 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
