Funeral services for Scott Rabalais will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, September 12, 2022, in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville with the Rev. Marti Laird officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mater Dolorosa Mausoleum.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville.

Mr. Rabalais, age 61 of Plaucheville, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at his residence.

Scott was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He spent 25 years offshore, working as a chief engineer, and for the past 20 years, Scott has worked at the Paragon Casino.  He was an avid hunter, fisherman, fantasy football player, and loved flying his remote-control airplanes.

He is preceded in death by his father, Bernie Rabalais, and his brother, Matthew Rabalais.

Survivors include: his mother, Burnell Rabalais, his wife of 39 years, Tina S. Rabalais, of Plaucheville, his sons, Derek Rabalais and wife, Pam, of Plaucheville, Jacob Rabalais, of Lafayette, and Trevor Rabalais, of Baton Rouge, his sisters, Phoebe Rabalais and Ray, of Plaucheville and Vicki R. Dufour and husband, Shawn, of Plaucheville, his grandchildren, Carter, Olivia, and Addie Rabalais, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will include: Shawn Dufour, Donald Gremillion, Merrill Gremillion, Kevin Gremillion, Kevin Wald, Kenneth Scallan, Joey Lemoine, Shannon "Shea" Tremblay, and Nicky Thompson.

Friends may visit on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville.
