Funeral services for Sandra Riche' will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the Big Cane Baptist Church in Big Cane, with Bro. Chris Campo officiating.  Burial will follow in the Church of the Little Flower Mausoleum in Evergreen.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Riche', age 83 of Evergreen, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital.

Sandra was a devoted wife and mother, raising six children.  For over 40 years, she was a dedicated homemaker while her husband and four sons worked in the field.  Once her children were all in school, she went to work at Goudeau, Inc., where she was there for 43 years and created many life-long friendships.  Sandra was a wonderful cook and loved nothing more than having all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren over on the weekend to share a meal together.  She enjoyed fishing sac-a-lait in Horseshoe Lake and speckled trout fishing in Grand Isle, and when she wasn't fishing or cooking, you could find her reading a book and drinking coffee at her kitchen table.  She was the ultimate connoisseur for all things "boucherie" and could easily tell you step by step how the entire process was supposed to happen.  Throughout her 83 years, she will always be remembered as a sweet and caring person, who wasn't afraid to "tell it like it is".  She will be missed by all of those who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Elliot James Riche'; her parents, Wilbur and Mildred Allen Goudeau; and a sister, Jacynthia Goudeau.

Survivors include her children, Terry Riche' (Patty) of Cottonport, Johnny Riche' (Tammy) of Cottonport, Elliot "Pookie" Riche', Jr. (Susan) of Madisonville, Rae Ellen Riche' (Rusty) of Bay Hills, Herman Scott Riche' (Peggy) of Evergreen and Angela Riche' Pastor (Heath) of Bordelonville; brother, Ray "Mickey" Goudeau (Tomye) of Angleton, TX; sister, Carmen Gail Hirschmann of Houston; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will include; Terry Riche', Johnny Riche', Pookie Riche', Scott Riche', Rusty Lemoine and Heath Pastor.

Friends may visit on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00 a.m. at the Big Cane Baptist Church.
