Funeral services for Sandra Mayeux Pellerin will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 28, 2022 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville with the Rev. Martin Laird officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville.

Sandra, age 59, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.  She was born to John Myron Mayeux and Phyllis Pepiton on December 8, 1962.  She was a lifelong resident of Plaucheville and worked as a nurse for 28 years.  Sandra was a wonderful mother, and grandmother, and has always been someone that everyone could lean on and go to at any time.  She has raised her children and her grandchildren along with nieces, nephews and many friends of the previously mentioned.

Survivors include her children, Christina Baird (Toni) of Hessmer, Jennifer Baird of Cottonport and Hunter Pellerin of Pensacola, FL; her step-mother, Susan Mayeux of Plaucheville; sisters Susie Mayeux Dixon (Hugh) of Baytown, TX and Tammy Mayeux Eves (Byrns) of Bunkie; brother, Mitchel P. Mayeux, Sr. of Grenada, MS; step-siblings, Rodney Johnson, Jr. of Plaucheville and Tammy Malliet of Daphne, AL; grandchildren, Mackenzie Wiggins, Alexia Wiggins, and Bentley Baird and lots of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John Myron Mayeux and Neolia Phyllis Pepiton.

Pallbearers will include: Brock Coco, John Michael Eves, Julian Eves, Mitchel P. Mayeux, Jr., Rodney Johnson, Sr. and Rodney Johnson, Jr.

Friends may visit on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 5:00 p.m. and Monday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville.
