Funeral services for Samuel Rabalais will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville with Rev. Joseph Desmoine officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Cemetery in Plaucheville.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville.

Mr. Rabalais, age 75 of Denham Springs, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at The Carpenter House in Baton Rouge.

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Joanne Fullwood; son, Rory Rabalais; his parents, Roland and Julia Landreneau Rabalais; sister, Marilyn Rabalais and brother, Frances Rabalais.

Survivors include his wife; Joan Dorset Rabalais of Denham Springs; sons, Robert Rabalais of Moreauville and Roddy Rabalais of Tyler, TX; his step-daughters, Tracey McCorkel of Watson and Denise Parguin of El Paso, TX; his two brothers, Marty Rabalais (Janis) of Plaucheville and Jude Rabalais (Mona) of Plaucheville; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville.
