Obituary
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at St. Alphonse Catholic Church in Hessmer with the Rev. Edwin Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow in the Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Ruby Michot Lambert, age 91, a native of Hessmer, LA passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2015.
She is preceded in death by her husband Edwin Lambert, mother Melanie Bordelon and father Elmore Michot.
Ruby was the loving mother of Daniel Lambert (Betty), Julius Lambert, Debra Lambert Hull (Don), Kenneth Lambert (Sharon) and Michael Lambert (Sam) and grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
She was a strong lady, always kind and giving with a good heart. All are saddened by our loss but comforted in her grace and peace.
The family would like to thank her wonderful sitters, Zina, Bessie, Gloria, Flo and her hospice nurse, Danielle.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home, 302 St. John St. in Bunkie, LA on Tuesday from 10:30 am until 11:30 am.
In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital, www.stjude.org.com, preferred.
