Funeral services for Robert Blood will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 22, 2024 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie with Bro. Roger Blood, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in the Griffin Hills Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. Blood, aka "Psycho", "Old Dude", "Poppy", "The Stud of St. Landry", passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at his home at the age of 65.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Wayne and Betty Dardeau Blood.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Godwin Blood of St. Landry; his children, Bridgette B. Vidrine and husband Johnathan of Bayou Chicot, Roderick W. Blood of Bayou Chicot, and Nicole B. Rollins and husband Chris of St. Landry; step-children, Christie Kramer and husband Etienne of Turkey Creek and Haley Chaddrick and husband Glen of Pine Prairie; brother, David E. Blood of Naples, FL; sister, Cathy Chelette Conway of Alexandria; grandchildren, Jolie  Vidrine, Josie Vidrine, Beau Vidrine, Cameron McGee and Caden Rollins; step-grandchildren, Peyton Derouselle, Olivia Kramer, Victoria Chaddrick and Cody Chaddick; and great-grandchild, Leia Derouselle.

Friends may visit on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00 a.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
