RICHARD WAITES
Funeral services for Richard Waites will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2014 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home with the Bro. Danny Broussard officiating. Burial will follow with military honors in the Bayou Jack Pentecostal Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mr. Waites, age 81 of Bayou Jack, passed away on Sunday, December 29, at his residence.
He is preceded in death by his wife; Doris Waites; his parents, Linzy and Elvia Phillips Waites; and a brother, Gerald Waites.
Survivors include his children; Linda Bullara of Cottonport, Richard Scott Waites of Bayou Jack, Larry Waites of Cottonport, Patricia Bankston of Port Allen, Jeannie Waites of Plaucheville, Ricky Waites of Baker, Kenneth Waites of Plaucheville and Annette Falvey of Cooneville; one brother, James Waites of Port Arthur; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
