RICHARD WALTER STAGG

Funeral services for Richard Stagg will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2011 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Hoover officiating. Burial will follow in the White's Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mr. Stagg, age 68 of Bunkie, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
Richard was an insurance agent with Farm Bureau for 38 years. He loved to hunt and fish in his younger days and was a big fan of football and track and field.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Richard W. and Helen M. Morrison Stagg.
Those left to treasure his memories are his wife of 45 years, Mary Foreman Stagg of Bunkie; two sons, Brett Walker Stagg and his wife Melissa of Pineville, and Bart Wayne Stagg and his wife Kristen of Alexandria; two brothers, Jerome Stagg and wife Rudell of Carencro, and Marshall Stagg and his wife Melanie of Baton Rouge; one sister, Rose Marie Perrilloux of LaPlace; and six grandchildren, Tyler, Jonathan and Keira Stagg of Alexandria, and Laura, Leslie and Katie Stagg of Pineville.
Pallbearers will include; John Carter, Tyler Stagg, Louis Stagg, Bill Stevens, Nelson Soileau, and A.J. Fisher.
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday and 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
