Obituary
Funeral services for Rhoda Townsend will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home with the Bro. Michael McIntosh officiating. Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mrs. Townsend, age 101 of Bunkie, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at the Opelousas General Hospital.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd C. Townsend and an infant son.
Left to cherish her memory is her son; David F. Townsend of Bunkie.
Pallbearers will include: Allen Barbee, David Townsend, Daniel P. Stagg, Carlton Townsend, Albert Townsend and C.D. Hart.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be sent to: Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, P.O. Box 4196, Monroe, LA 71221.
