REGINA STOUTE MORAN

Funeral services for Regina Moran will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Morrow with the Msgr. Metrejean officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Catherine Catholic Cemetery in Rosa. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mrs. Moran, age 79 of Rosa, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at the Senior Village Nursing Home in Opelousas.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Andrew and Azelma Richard Stoute; brothers, August, Lionel and Leroy Stoute; sisters, Theresa Conick, Odile Culotta, Cedalise Sonnier and Noel Sonnier-Roy.
Mrs. Moran loved being with people, and playing bingo at the community center. She was a member of the Altar Society and Rosary Group. She also enjoyed growing flowers and baking; especially her signature coconut cake.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Floyd Moran, Sr. of Rosa; a daughter, Shirley Bergeron and her husband Lionel of Pecaniere; two sons, Floyd Moran, Jr. of Rosa and Leland Moran, Sr. and his wife Martha of Kinder; two sisters, Marjorie Templet and her husband Robert of Metairie, and Georgie Wilson of Opelousas; one brother, Nolan Stoute of Metairie; a sister-in-law, Zelmire Stoute of Metairie; two grandsons, Michael Bergeron of Picaniere and Leland Moran, Jr. of Kinder; two great-grandchildren, Emma Bergeron and Ezra Bergeron.
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home and 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Morrow.
A rosary will be cited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
