A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre with the Rev. Daniel Picard officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville.

Mr. Kennison, age 63 of Port Barre, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at his residence.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Raoul and Joyce Chautin Kennison; his sister, Robin K. Brown; and a brother, Stephen Hargroder.

Survivors include his children, Allison Krugger and husband Jeff of Smyrna, TN, Ashley Deshotel and husband Tim of Plaucheville and Andre Kennison of Port Barre; one brother, Dick Kennison and wife Fran of Sulphur; four sisters, Beryl Stoute and husband Wes of Port Barre, Charlotte Nezat and husband Ricky of Port Barre, Brenda Higdon and husband Glen of Port Barre and Roxanne Kennison of GA; and his 7 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Emily, Madison, Paige, Tim, Ella and Paisley.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. on Monday until 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday at Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre. A rosary will be cited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening at the funeral home.
