A Mass of Christian Burial for Ramon Rivers will be held at 200 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Msgr. Stephen Scott Chemino officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Ms. Rivers, age 73 of Bunkie, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Bayou Vista Community Care Center.

Romana was a lifelong member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and was Clothed in the 3rd Order of Carmalite.  She retired from nursing after 28 years, spending most of those years at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Charles O. Sr. and Essie Juneau Rivers; and a brother, Andy Rivers.

Survivors include brother, Charles O. Rivers, Jr. of Bunkie and a host of nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Carmalite service followed by a rosary at 6:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
