Services celebrating the life of Paula Marie Van Hoof Beaver will be held at 11 o'clock am on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home, Bunkie, Louisiana.  Rev. Andre Bordelon will officiate.  Interment will follow at Trinity Episcopal Cemetery, Cheneyville, Louisiana.  Visitation will be held from 9 o'clock am until time of service on Tuesday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Paula Marie Van Hoof Beaver, 70, of Cheneyville, entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 20, 2022 in her home, surrounded by her loving family.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis E. "Buddy" Van Hoof and Betty J. Andries Van Hoof, and brother, Glenn David Van Hoof.

Paula worked for years as the town secretary for the town of Cheneyville.  She also worked as a bank teller and as a clerk for the local natural gas company.  She especially enjoyed her retirement and the quiet life of the small town where she and her high school sweetheart made their home.  She enjoyed being at home, reading, cooking and caring for her family.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Alton W. Beaver, her cherished daughter, Alison Marie Beaver, and her brothers, Louis E. "Buddy" Van Hoof, III and his wife Cheryl, Ricky L. Van Hoof and his wife Susan, and James C. "Charlie" Van Hoof and his wife Kathy; along with a host of Van Hoof and Beaver nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Pallbearers will be her brothers, Louis E. "Buddy" Van Hoof, III, Ricky L. Van Hoof and James C. "Charlie" Van Hoof, and nephews, Gavin Beaver, Cannon Beaver and Breck Beaver.

The family wishes to extend a sincere Thank You to the staff of Christus Hospice St. Frances Cabrini and to the 5 ^th Floor nursing staff of Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Paula.
