A private funeral service for Jean Desselle will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2023 with Rev. Matt Woollett officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Desselle, age 86 of Ville Platte, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at The Heritage Manor Nursing Home.

She is preceded in death by her two children, Claire D. Boswell and Robert M. Desselle, Jr.; and her parents, Pet Hugh and Willie Lee Harrell Tubre.

Survivors include her siblings, Patsy Rizer and husband Berlynn of Memphis, TN; Harriet Woollett and husband Matt of New Iberia, LA; and Pete Tubre and wife Nancy of St. Landry, LA; her grandchildren, Jaime Boswell, Leslie Boswell, Brittany D. Deeds, Ashleigh D. Picotte and great-granddaughters, Sadie Anne Picotte and Caroline Marie Deeds.
