NOLTON JOSEPH COMEAUX, SR.

Funeral services for Nolton J. Comeaux, Sr. will be at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, May 11, 2014 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie with the Bro. Michael Craig officiating. Burial will follow in the Griffin Hills Cemetery in Lone Pine. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. Comeaux, age 90 of Mansura, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville.

Mr. Comeaux served in the Army during World War II and a retired farmer.

He is preceded in death by his first and second wife; Mary Alma Carter Comeaux and Thelma Fisher Comeaux; his parents, Felician and Lucille Bellard Comeaux; brothers, Carlton, Claude and Paul Comeaux; sisters, Dorothy Bowman and Pearly Tupper; and a grandson, Kenny Bearb.

Survivors include his son; Joe Comeaux, Jr. and his wife Gayle of Cheneyville; daughter, Mary Alice Deerman and husband Jerry of Walker; step-daughter, EmmaLee Dunn and her husband Bill of Tioga; a sister, Alice Rhoman of Jarreau; 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Saturday and 8:00 a.m. until the time of service on Sunday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
