MIKEL WAYNE VANNOY

Funeral services for Mikel Vannoy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Morrow Baptist Church with the Bro. Davy Kelone officiating and eulogy given by Joel Taylor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mr. Vannoy, age 65 of Angola, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at his residence.
He was a long time employee of the Department of Corrections and an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Roy and Beatrice Howard Vannoy.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Audrey Ortego Vannoy of Angola; his son, Mikel W. Vannoy, Jr. and his wife Cindy of Angola; his daughter, Rhonda McKey of Angola; two brothers, Clarence Vannoy of Broussard and Darrel Vannoy of Woodville, MS; his sister, Lynette Taylor of Millville, NJ; his grandchildren, Jacob Vannoy, Bennett Vannoy, Thomas Vannoy, Madyson McKey and Mason McKey; and a very close friend, Michelle Piazza.
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie and 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the Morrow Baptist Church in Morrow.
