Mrs. Stagg, age 75 of Bunkie, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at The Bailey Place.
She had a love for others that showed as she worked as an office assistant for much of her life. She and her husband, Mike Rabalais, who passed in 1990, were owners of Mike's True Value in Marksville. In addition, she was the original owner of Award Gallery. She had a passion for knitting and crocheting such things as prayer shawls, chemo hats and preemie caps for people in need. She loved helping her friends and was a bright spot in so many people's lives. She greeted everyone with a smile. Above all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her first husband of 27 years, Michael Rabalais; her second husband of 18 years, Marshall Stagg; her parents, Cullen and Jeanette Laborde Dupuy; a brother, Lloyd Dupuy and a sister, Patricia Mitchel.
Survivors include her three girls-Angie Rabalais Hudson and husband Gregg of Bunkie, Cece Rabalais Ducote and husband Doug of Dupont, and Donna Rabalais Monk and husband Daniel of Lindale, TX; her step-children, Lyn Hardouin, Patrick Stagg, Mary Susan Stagg, Ed Stagg, Dan Stagg and Liz Stagg; one brother, Jack Dupuy and wife Juanita of Centerpoint; her grandchildren, Josh Townsend and wife Nicole, Allyn Ducote, Spencer Ducote and wife Abbie, Emily Monk and Kyle Monk; 7 step-grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
