Funeral services for Melanie Mose will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2022 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville with Bro. Chris Gonzales officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bayou Jacque Church of Christ Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville.

Mrs. Mose, age 40 of Cottonport, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022 at Lafayette General Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Gracie Elaine Dauzat, and her maternal grandparents, Joseph and Anna Deshotel.

Survivors include her husband; Brandon Mose of Cottonport; her son, Gavin Paul Dauzat (Katie) of Bunkie; mother, Marilee Thibodeaux of Bayou Jacque; father, Michael Dupuy of Moncla; siblings, Akeysheia Juneau (Troy) of Bayou Jacque, Chris Lambert, Jr. (Jacqueline) of Bay Hills, Tousha L. Landry of Melville, and Tricia Lambert (Emmanuel Harmon) of Baton Rouge; half brothers and sisters, Sarah Dupuy, Jessie Eden, Destiny Dupuy, Sean Dupuy and Chauncey Dupuy; and her nieces and nephews, Conner Lambert, Harley Gaspard, Jonah Juneau, Soffe Landry, Serenity Gautro and Josie Juneau.

Friends may visit on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville.
