Obituary
A memorial service for Mary Margaret Campbell Hardee will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2015 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie with the Pastor Kemper Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery in Bunkie. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mrs. Hardee, 92 of Deerfield Beach, Florida died the 29 th of April, 2015. Mary Margaret moved to the South Florida area from Opelousas, Louisiana. Mrs. Hardee grew up in the Bunkie area and graduated from SLI. Mrs. Hardee was a member of the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. She was a Member at Large of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a Charter Member of Laraine Chapter Order of the Eastern Star of Opelousas, La.
Mrs. Hardee was preceded in death by her husbands, Stanley Edgar Ellington of Bunkie, Louisiana and Bradley Hardee of Gueydan, Louisiana.
Survivors include her two sons, Stanley E. Ellington, Jr., and William C. Ellington and one daughter, Charlotte E. Gallagher, seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to either White Chapel Cemetery Fund or Alzheimer's Association.
