Funeral services for Martha Moran will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, October 17, 2025 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie with Msgr. Stephen Scott Chemino officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Catherine Catholic Cemetery in Rosa.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Moran, age 70 of Kinder, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Lafayette General Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leland Moran, Sr.; her parents, Elmer and Hazel Soileau Brooks; and siblings, John M. Brooks and Patricia B. Wilson.

Survivors include her son, Leland Moran, Jr. of Elton; siblings, James D. Brooks and his wife Mae of Opelousas and Timothy S. Brooks of Washington; her father-in-law, Floyd Moran, Sr. of Rosa; and nieces and nephews, Wayne Wilson, Kristy Wilson, Nicholas Wilson, Tracy B. Broussard, Danielle B. Defelice, Jamie Brooks and Michael Bergeron; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shirley M. and Lionel Bergeron; brother-in-law Kenneth Wilson and sister-in-law, Theresa Brooks.

Friends may visit on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
