MARJORIE HEBERT
A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Rev. Jack Michalchuk officiating. Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Marjorie (Margie) Hebert of Bunkie, 80, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Hebert was a child of the late Aurelian and Alice Quibedeaux Menard.
She served her Lord as an Eucharistic minister and a Catholic Daughter at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bunkie. She was also past unit president and member of the Bunkie American Legion Auxiliary. Mrs. Hebert loved gardening, cooking, sewing, and crafts, and was extremely successful at all. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Chester Hebert, and was a loving mother to son, Larry O. Hebert and wife, Terry, of Baton Rouge, and two daughters, Vivian H. Ortego, of Shreveport, and Eileen Hebert of Baton Rouge. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Joseph Hebert of Benton, Louisiana; Michelle Hebert of Chicago, Illinois; Kate Wilkinson LeBlanc and husband, Carter of Prairieville, Louisiana; and Tyler Ortego, U. S. Marines stationed at Cherry Point, North Carolina. She is also survived by five great grandchildren, Dakota Hebert, Brayden Rachel, Bryce Hebert, Gabrielle LeBlanc, and Andrew LeBlanc, and two sisters, Hattie M. Doucet and Dorothy R. M. Lachney. She was preceded in death by granddaughter, Julie Renee Wilkinson., and Crystal Hebert, spouse of grandson, Joseph.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.
at Hixson Ducote Funeral Home in Bunkie.
