Obituary
Funeral services for Marguerite Varnado will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2015 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie with the Bro. Michael Hukins officiating. Burial will follow in Pythian Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mrs. Varnado, age 80 of Bunkie, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the Bunkie General Hospital.
She is preceded in death by a son, Mark S. Rabalais; a husband, Adrian Varnado; her parents, Ernest and Cecilia Ponthier Hukins; and 6 brothers, Livingston, Loiston, Orlin, Ernest, Jr., Wilford and Beldon Hukins.
Survivors include three sons; James Brent Rabalais of Lafayette, Christopher Dale Rabalais of Lafayette and Timothy Paul Rabalais and his wife Dena of Sunset; her daughter, Nancy R. Howard and her husband Donnie of Bunkie; three brothers, Kenneth Hukins of Bunkie, Herman Hukins of LaRose, and Albert M. Hukins of Lafayette; and her two grandchildren, Jacintha Howard and Blake Rabalais.
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Saturday and 12:00 noon until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
