A Mass of Christian Burial for Lydia Tassin will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Bordelonville with the Rev. Louis Sklar officiating.  Burial will follow in the church mausoleum.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Tassin, age 94 of Bordelonville, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at the Avoyelles Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Martin P. Tassin; her parents, Moses and Pearl Mayeux Bordelon; and her siblings, Baldwin Bordelon, Inez Laborde and Lois Boniol.

Survivors include her two sons; Martin Vince Tassin and wife Janis of Covington and Blake Tassin and wife Tracy of Bordelonville; her grandchildren, Christine Dunaway and husband Heber "Ted", Allison Long and husband Connor, Madeline T. Ducote and husband Matthew, Matt Tassin and Ben Tassin; and her great-grandchild, Oliver Long.

Pallbearers will include:  Baldwin Bordelon, Jr., Jerry Laborde, Matt Tassin, Matthew Ducote, Connor Long and Ted Dunaway.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Valley View Nursing Home, All Saints Hospice and Avoyelles Hospital for the exceptional care.

Friends may visit on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the St. Peter's Catholic Church Hall.
