LOUIS EDWARD HAMILTON
Funeral services for Dr. Louis Hamilton, D.C. will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at the David Haas United Methodist Church in Bunkie with the Rev. Kemper Smith officiating. Burial will follow with military honors at the Pythian Mausoleum in Bunkie. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Dr. Hamilton, age 88 of Bunkie, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at the Rapides Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Hamilton was a chiropractor in Bunkie where he practiced for 22 years. He was a member of the David Haas United Methodist Church, Mason Lodge, and York Rite. He was a World War II Veteran and a lifetime member of the VFW, DAV, American Legion and 40-8. He also belonged to the Louisiana Chiropractor Association and the American Chiropractor Association.
He is preceded in death by a son, Kip Hamilton; a step-son, Andy Bruce; his parents, Chester and Esther Miles Hamilton; and two brothers, Chester Hamilton and Robert Hamilton.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years; Virginia Scott Hamilton of Bunkie; one son, Louis Hamilton II of Phoenix, AZ; a step-daughter, Linda Eggers of Ocala, FL; and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the David Haas United Methodist Church.
