A Mass of Christian Burial for Lorella Ducote will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Msgr. Stephen Scott Chemino officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Ducote, age 81 of Bunkie, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2024 at the Bayou Vista Community Care Center.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Wilson and Hazel Richard Joubert.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Dennis Ducote, Jr. of Bunkie; her son Ray Ducote and wife Marie of Bunkie; her sister, Priscilla Horne of Tioga; brother, Glenn Joubert of Tioga; her grandchildren, Maggie Ducote, Matthew Ducote and wife Madeline and Madeline Dupont and husband Kenneth and her great-granddaughter Ella Ducote.

Friends may visit on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. with a rosary at 10:00 a.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
