Lloyd Stafford Jolibois, Sr., 75, a resident of Central Louisiana, passed away July 13, 2018 after a long battle with brain cancer.
Born August 11, 1942 in Cottonport Louisiana, the son of Stafford and Julia Jolibois. After graduating from Morrow High School, he served 4 years in the US Navy. He retired as an ironworker and in 2003 started Lloyd's Home Maintenance where he worked until his illness. During the flood of 2016 Lloyd served as a proud member of the Cajun Navy. He most enjoyed helping others, spending time and cooking for his many family and friends, Cajun dancing, participating in the Golden Friends Supper Club and traveling.
Survivors include: wife, Vicki; children/stepchildren; Dawn Jolibois (fiance David Landry) and Vicki Abington (Todd) of Central, Wendy Wade (Terry) of Ft. Bliss, Texas, Thomas Dawson (Jacki) of Dodge, Texas, Chantelle Alleger (Brandon) of Marionville, Missouri, and Chip Lawson (Jill) of Dodge, Texas; grandchildren: Lauren Abington, Cullen, Brett and Jacob Wade, TJ, Sarah and Emily Dawson, Tristan and Blake Lawson and Grace Ritchey; sisters: Viola Sturges of Baton Rouge, Claudet Dupuy (Ted) of Slaughter, and Judy Douglas (Don) of Watson, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Stafford and Julia Jolibois; son, Lloyd Jolibois, Jr.; grandson, Phillip Abington; brothers, Cedo and Euna Jolibois and sister, Velma Walton.
Visitation will be held at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home in Plaucheville on Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Bayou Jacque Pentecostal Cemetery.
