Funeral services for Lisa Onishea will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2021 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home in Bunkie with the Bro. Michael Hukins officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie

Ms. Onishea, age 55 of Lafayette, formerly of Bunkie, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021 at her residence.

Lisa enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and helping others succeed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Floyd and Diane Armand Onishea; her maternal grandparents, Ellis and Olive Armand; and her paternal grandparents, Ruben and Evelyn Onishea.

Survivors include her two daughters, Latoya Rodriguez and husband Tony of Lafayette and Amanda Woodland and husband Trent of Alexandria; her two sisters, Tonya O. Guillory and husband Frank of Cottonport and Kim Onishea of St. Landry; her grandchildren, Joel Garcia (Diana), Maribel Garcia, Julian Rodriguez, Darrian Hayes (Erin), Jae-Quan Woodland and Trent Woodland, Jr.; and 4 step-granddaughters.

Friends may visit on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
