IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Levi J
Phillips
December 2, 1966 – July 24, 2025
Levi was affectionately known as a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends and many more whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived and for the profound impact he had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Levi loved life, telling jokes, and he never met a stranger. His true passion was to barbecue for his friends and family. He was a member and enjoyed attending His Church in Pineville.
Levi was an equipment operator for the City of Alexandria. He enjoyed his job and valued the relationships with his coworkers. He would always start his day with devotion and prayer.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Sheila Phillips; children, Lauren Phillips, Chad Watts (Aimee), Katelyn Cates (Devn), Dylan Pospisil (Danielle); grandchildren, Logan Phillips, Ethan and Eli Watts; his mother, Genevieve Thibodeaux; his father L.J. Phillips (Debbie), Siblings, Michael Ducote (Kate), Christopher Ducote (Heather), Dan Phillips (Tiffany), Tonya Pitcher (Wayne). He also leaves behind his mother-in-law Teena Satcher, sister-in-law Rhonda Godwin (Mark); nephews, Harrison and Parker Ducote, Ayden Reason, Matthew Franklin, Austin and Spencer Pitcher; nieces, Emma Ducote, Jennifer Wyant, Kayla Phillips Basco, Lily-Jo Pitcher, Piper Phillips; aunts, Ardell Snook and Georgianna Bordelon.
The family wants to thank the Trauma team and staff at Rapides Regional Hospital for all the care and compassion shown to us.
Visitation will be on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. with a memorial service following at 10:30 a.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie with Dr. Steve Speer officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial be made to His Church, P.O. Box 3546, Pineville, LA 71361
