Graveside services for Lemuel Marshall will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 8, 2025 at Trinity Episcopal Cemetery in Cheneyville. Arrangements under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Lemuel Brooks Marshall, Jr., age 81, passed away August 27,2025. He was born July 21, 1944 in Bunkie Louisiana and grew up in Cheneyville, Louisiana. He was a graduate Cheneyville High School and he continued his education graduating from Louisiana State University.

He is preceded in death by his father, Lemuel Brooks Marshall, Sr., his mother Verda Dossmann Marshall, his wife Lajuan Dyer Marshall (Sissy), and his brother Wilson Cullem Marshall (Skip).

Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters Vivian Marshall Moreau of St. Amant, Louisiana, Mary Kay Marshall of Magnolia, Texas, and his brother Michael Glen Marshall of Katy, Texas, his two children Leigh Ann Marshall of Nevada City, California and a son Matthew Dyer Marshall and daughter-in-law Vardui of West Hills, California. Brooks was blessed with two grandchildren Zakar Marshall and Arek Marshall. He was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather and a wonderful brother.

He was devoted to his Catholic Faith and he is now and forever in the arms of Jesus. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
