JULIA FIRMIN DAUZAT
Funeral mass for Julia Dauzat will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2011 at St. Alphonse Catholic Church with the Rev. Edwin Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Alphonse Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mrs. Dauzat, age 70 of Hessmer, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2011 at Grace Home of Cabrini.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Calvin and Lelia Ortego Firmin; a grandson, Christopher Ivy; a brother, Jimmy Firmin and a sister Sadie Gadison.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years; Darrel Dauzat of Hessmer; one son, Robert Dauzat and his wife Gail of Vilonia, AR; two daughters, Shirley Laborde and her husband Vincent of San Antonio, TX, and Brenda Ivy and her husband Larry of Vilonia, AR; two sisters, Wadine Gautreaux of New Orleans, and Karen Bucheit of St. Louis, MO; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. on Friday until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
