Graveside services for Julia Cason Asbra will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at the Cason Cemetery in Big Cane with Rev. Matt Cormier officiating.  Burial will follow.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Asbra, age 84 of Bunkie, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the Brookdale Senior Living in Alexandria.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Asbra; her son, Harold Asbra, Jr.; parents, Joseph and Felonese Chelette Cason; and three sisters, Cora Caraway, Barbara Ann Cason, and Helen Owens.

Survivors include her siblings, Jenny Soileau of Bunkie, Linda Redmon of Bunkie, Charles Cason and wife Pat of Bunkie, Sandra Carter of Bunkie and Jeffrey Cason of Hessmer.
