A Mass of Christian Burial for Joyce Brown will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Morrow with the Rev. Michael Guidry officiating. Burial will follow in the church mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Brown, age 78 of New Roads, formerly of Morrow, passed away on Friday, November 06, 2015 at Lakeview Manor Nursing Home in New Roads.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Davis Brown, Sr.; parents, Regile and Lillie Oge; and three brothers, Harring Oge, Lee Oge, and Harrison Oge.

Survivors include one son, Davis Brown, Jr. and his wife Beth of Palmetto; five daughters, Brenda Ducote and her husband Phillip of Cottonport, Glenda Spivey and her husband Daniel of Geismar, Linda Brown of Morrow, Belinda Brown of Port Allen and Melinda Kidder and her husband Eugene of Hessmer; two brothers, Darrell Oge of San Diego and Tillman Oge of Bunkie; one sister, Audrey Bailey of Lecompte; 16 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
