JOSEPH WILSON JOUBERT

Funeral services for Wilson Joubert will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 9, 2011 in the chapel of LaVille Funeral Home in Ville Platte with the Bro. Clark Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in the B.J. Fontenot Cemetery in Ville Platte. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie and LaVille Funeral Home of Ville Platte.
Mr. Joubert, age 88 of Colfax, formerly of Ville Platte, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at his residence.
He was a World War II Veteran and retired from carpentry work after 35 years.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Joubert; and three brothers, Louis Nathan Joubert, John Lloyd Joubert and Herbert Lee Jourbert.
Survivors include one son, Glin Joubert and his wife Rose of Colfax; two daughters, Lorella Ducote and husband Dennis of Bunkie, and Priscilla Horn and husband Billy of Colfax; one brother, Joseph Lovery Joubert of St. Francisville; two sisters, Ella Ortego of Ville Platte and Mary Ann Veillion of Ville Platte; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at LaVille Funeral Home in Ville Platte.
