Funeral services for Joseph Fontenot will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday July 30,2021 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie, with the Rev. Edwin Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow in the Pratt Cemetery in Clearwater. Arrangements under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral of Bunkie.

Mr. Fontenot, age 91 of Bunkie, passed away on Thursday July 22,2021 at his residence.

He is preceded in death by his wife Anna "Mackie" Fontenot; his parents, Leonard and Ella Fontenot; his siblings: Roderick Fontenot, Thelma Randolph, Elouise Chapelle and Jewel Ballard.

Survivors include his daughters Vickie F. Doran and husband Wayne of Marienville, PA, Lisa F. Kelone and husband Michael of Hessmer, and Nina F. McMickens and Eric Tollen of Oklahoma City, OK; his sisters, Nazel Fontenot, and Sue Campbell; his grandchildren, Chad VanMol, Elise and Adam Pearce, Kallie and Danial Oalmann, Stephanie Foster, Megan and Lawrence Lemoine; and Christy and Jeremy Hocker; great-grandchildren Brooklyn Foster, Gram and Noah Oalmann, Erin and Allie Hocker.

Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
